Job Summary

The Group Finance Director supports the Group CFO in leading the overall financial management of a diversified production group. This role ensures robust financial control, accuracy of reporting, and efficient financial operations across all entities. The position plays a key role in consolidating group performance, improving financial systems, and driving operational excellence through sound analysis and governance.


Key Responsibilities

Financial Management & Control

Oversee the preparation and consolidation of group financial statements in line with IFRS and internal standards.

Ensure the accuracy, transparency, and timeliness of all management and statutory reports.

Strengthening financial controls, audit processes, and compliance across subsidiaries.

Supervise accounting, treasury, and tax operations to maintain full compliance with local regulations.

Performance & Planning

Lead budgeting, forecasting, and financial performance tracking across all business units.

Provide analytical insights and recommendations to improve cost efficiency, margins, and cash flow.

Support the CFO in financial modeling, business reviews, and strategic decision support.

Monitor CAPEX/OPEX efficiency and ensure alignment with financial targets.

Operational Finance Excellence

Enhance ERP, reporting, and data systems to improve accuracy and automation.

Partner with operational and production leaders to drive financial discipline and performance accountability.

Manage working capital, liquidity, and cash flow processes across the group.

Stakeholder Engagement

Liaise with auditors, tax authorities, and financial institutions.

Support CFO in investor relations, funding, and external reporting activities.

Responsibilities

Candidate Requirements

Education & Professional Background

Degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or Business Administration.

Professional qualification (ACCA, CPA, CFA) preferred; MBA is an advantage.

 

Experience

10+ years of experience in finance, including at least 3–5 years in a leadership role.

Proven experience in production, manufacturing, or operational business environments.

Strong record in consolidation, budgeting, and performance management.

Experience with IFRS, ERP systems, and data-driven reporting.

 

Key Competencies

Excellent analytical and financial acumen.

Strong leadership and organizational skills.

High attention to accuracy and compliance.

Fluency in Azerbaijani (mandatory); English or Russian proficiency required.
