As part of our continued growth, we are seeking a Quantity Survey specialist to support the successful commercial and financial delivery of our development projects.
This role will be responsible for driving cost planning, commercial management, contract administration, and budget control across development projects, ensuring commercial efficiency, effective cost governance, and long-term value creation throughout the project lifecycle.
This role requires a combination of cost management, commercial awareness, contract administration, analytical thinking, and stakeholder management expertise.
Key responsibilities:
Cost planning & budget management
- Prepare project cost estimates, budgets, and financial forecasts throughout the project lifecycle.
- Develop and maintain cost plans aligned with project objectives and business requirements.
- Monitor project expenditures and ensure effective budget control across all project phases.
- Identify cost optimization opportunities while maintaining quality, scope, and project objectives.
- Assess the financial impact of project decisions and recommend cost-effective solutions.
Tendering & Procurement
- Prepare quantity take-offs, Bills of Quantities (BOQ), cost estimates, and tender documentation.
- Evaluate commercial proposals and support contractor and supplier selection processes.
- Participate in tender evaluations and co ntract award recommendations.
- Support procurement activities to ensure cost-effective purchasing decisions.
Contract & Commercial Management
- Support the administration of construction contracts throughout project execution.
- Evaluate the commercial impact of project variations, additional works, and payment applications.
- Review interim payment applications and support payment certification processes.
- Participate in final account negotiations and project close-out activities.
- Identify commercial risks and recommend appropriate mitigation measures.
Cost Control & Reporting
- Monitor project costs against approved budgets and financial forecasts.
- Prepare regular commercial and cost performance reports for management.
- Analyze cost performance and recommend corrective actions where necessary.
- Maintain accurate cost records and commercial documentation throughout the project lifecycle.
Stakeholder management
- Collaborate closely with project management, engineering, procurement, finance, legal, and external contractors.
- Provide commercial insights to support project planning and decision-making.
- Ensure effective communication among internal and external stakeholders.
- Contribute to the successful commercial delivery of development projects.
