DevOps Engineer

The National Artificial Intelligence Center (NAIC), operating under the Transport and Communication Holding (“AZCON Holding”), promotes research and development in the field of artificial intelligence in Azerbaijan. The Center aims to accelerate digital transformation through the implementation and scaling of AI technologies. As NAIC, We are looking for a DevOps Engineer who can design, implement, and maintain CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure automation while working with modern containerized and distributed systems.

Experience:

• 3+ years of professional experience in DevOps or related roles, with practical experience in CI/CD, infrastructure automation, monitoring, and containerized environments.

Education:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technologies, or a related field

Responsibilities:

• Design, implement, and maintain CI/CD pipelines
• Deploy, manage, and troubleshoot applications running on Kubernetes clusters, including scaling, configuration, upgrades, and resource optimization
• Automate infrastructure configuration and operational tasks
• Monitor system health, application performance, and infrastructure
• Perform system administration tasks
• Collaborate with development teams to improve deployment processes, reliability, scalability, and observability of services.

Requirements:

CI/CD & Version Control

• Strong hands-on experience with GitLab and GitLab CI/CD.
• Ability to design, build, optimize, and troubleshoot automated pipelines.

Containers & Orchestration

• Practical experience with Docker (image creation, optimization, registry usage, debugging).
• Strong working knowledge of Kubernetes - deploying workloads, scaling, troubleshooting, upgrades.
• Experience with Helm - creating, modifying, and maintaining Helm charts.

Infrastructure & Automation

• Experience with Terraform for infrastructure provisioning and infrastructure-as-code practices.
• Experience with Ansible for automation, configuration management, and provisioning.

API Gateway

• Understanding of API gateway concepts and hands-on experience configuring routing, authentication, rate limiting, and policies in microservices environments.

Operating Systems & Scripting

• Strong fundamentals in Linux administration (permissions, networking, services, processes).
• Proficiency in Bash scripting for automation and operational tasks.
• Basic system knowledge — understanding of system architecture, resource usage (CPU, memory, disk), logging, process lifecycle, and service management.

Monitoring & Logging Tools

• Experience working with monitoring and observability platforms.
