Senior DevOps Engineer

The National Artificial Intelligence Center (NAIC), operating under the Transport and Communication Holding (“AZCON Holding”), promotes research and development in the field of artificial intelligence in Azerbaijan. The Center aims to accelerate digital transformation through the implementation and scaling of AI technologies.

At NAIC, we’re looking for a Senior DevOps Engineer who is excited to architect scalable infrastructure, drive robust automation, and shape how we approach cloud-native reliability. YOUR MISSION & IMPACT:

• Design, implement, and lead the evolution of scalable infrastructure, cloud architectures, and robust CI/CD pipelines.
• Architect and manage enterprise-grade Kubernetes clusters, guiding the strategy for scaling, configuration management, upgrades, and high availability.
• Drive Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) standards and automation strategies using tools like Terraform and Ansible to ensure consistent, repeatable environments.
• Establish comprehensive observability frameworks, defining monitoring, logging, and alerting strategies to ensure proactive system health and performance.
• Participate in architecture reviews, contribute to technical discussions, and define best practices for cloud security and system resilience.
• Mentor other developers and engineers — supporting your peers, sharing deep technical knowledge, and helping others grow while leveling up yourself.

YOU’RE THE PERFECT FIT IF:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Computer Engineering, or a related technical field.
• Strong professional experience as a DevOps or Platform Engineer, with a deep focus on infrastructure architecture, scalability, and site reliability.
• Hands-on, advanced expertise in container orchestration (Kubernetes, Helm), CI/CD platforms (GitLab CI/CD), and infrastructure automation (Terraform, Ansible).
• Deep understanding of Linux systems, networking, and security, combined with advanced scripting skills (Bash, Python) for automation and system administration.
• Experience with API gateway concepts, microservices routing, security policies, and enterprise monitoring/observability platforms.
• A team and leadership mindset — you take ownership, enjoy guiding others, and thrive on collaborating across cross-functional teams to deliver exceptional results.
