Responsibilities:


  • Group Financial Reporting & Managerial Reporting: Oversee the preparation, review, and timely delivery of monthly management reports (P&L, Balance Sheet, and Cash Flow Statement) covering operations in Azerbaijan, Uzbekistan, and Turkey, ensuring consistency of management reporting standards across the Group.
  • IFRS Reporting & Group Consolidation: Ensure full compliance with IFRS across relevant Group entities; oversee the preparation of consolidated IFRS financial statements, technical accounting positions, and coordination with external auditors at the Group level.
  • Budgeting & Forecasting: Lead the annual budgeting cycle and periodic forecasting process; challenge and validate underlying assumptions with business unit and country finance leads.
  • Tax & Accounting Oversight: Provide senior oversight of Group tax compliance, tax planning, transfer pricing, and accounting operations across jurisdictions, working closely with the Tax & Accounting Manager to ensure alignment with applicable tax legislation and the Group’s tax strategy.
  • Treasury Management: Oversee the Group treasury function, including cash and liquidity management, banking relationships, capital structure, financing decisions, and foreign exchange (FX) exposure across Azerbaijan, Uzbekistan, and Turkey operations.
  • ERP Project Leadership: Act as the Finance lead/sponsor for the Group ERP implementation project, ensuring finance, reporting, budgeting, and tax requirements are properly captured, tested, and embedded into the new system, and that the Finance function is fully operational at go-live.
  • International Finance Oversight – US, Uzbekistan & Turkey: Provide financial oversight and governance of the US, Uzbekistan, and Turkey finance operations, ensuring compliance with local statutory and tax requirements while aligning local reporting with Group policies and standards.
  • Team Leadership & Governance: Manage and develop the Finance team by setting clear objectives, ensuring succession planning, and building team capability across Group finance functions.
  • Internal Controls & Risk Management: Establish and maintain robust internal financial controls across the Group, identify financial and operational risks in a timely manner, and ensure appropriate mitigating actions are implemented.
  • Business Partnering & Ad-hoc Reporting: Act as a senior finance partner to the CFO and Group leadership, preparing and reviewing ad-hoc financial analyses, Board materials, and management reports to support strategic decision-making.

Requirements

Education

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field.
  • An MBA, ACCA, CFA, or an equivalent professional qualification is a strong advantage.

Specific Areas of Expertise

  • Strong technical expertise in IFRS and Group consolidation.
  • Solid understanding of tax legislation, treasury management, and corporate finance.
  • Experience with ERP implementation (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics, or similar) is highly preferred.
  • Professional certifications such as ACCA, CFA, CIMA, or equivalent are considered a strong advantage.

Work Experience

  • Minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in finance.
  • At least 3–5 years in a senior finance leadership role (Finance Director, Group Financial Controller, Head of Finance, or equivalent).
  • Prior experience managing finance functions across multiple jurisdictions/countries is strongly preferred.
  • Experience in real estate, construction, or holding/group structures is an advantage.
  • Big Four experience is a plus.

Language and Computer Skills

  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly MS Excel.
  • Fluency in English is required.
  • Proficiency in ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics, or similar) is preferred.

Special Requirements

  • Willingness to travel periodically to Uzbekistan and Turkey for finance governance and oversight purposes.
  • Strong stakeholder management, leadership, and cross-cultural communication skills.
  • Demonstrated professional ethics and integrity.
