Description

  • Organise the technical operation of high-voltage (6/10/35 kV) and low-voltage electrical installations, transformer/distribution substations, distribution boards and standby diesel generators, including periodic testing, measurement and relay protection settings.
  • Ensure that work on electrical and power installations is performed only under a permit-to-work (work order) and only by personnel holding the appropriate electrical safety authorisation group.
  • Ensure the reliable and uninterrupted operation of steam boilers, heat generators, water supply, cooling and compressed air (compressor) systems.
  • Monitor reactive power compensation in the network, analyse electrical losses (substation balance, feeder losses) and develop measures to reduce energy consumption per unit of product.
  • Monitor the accuracy and timely calibration of temperature, humidity and pressure measuring and control instruments (I&C, automation) and the correct functioning of automatic control systems.
  • Prepare, submit for approval and oversee the execution of annual and monthly Planned Preventive Maintenance (PPM) schedules and overhaul/routine inspection and repair plans for overhead and cable lines.
  • Organise the full technical readiness of the power and heating facilities ahead of the production and curing (drying) season.
  • Organise emergency and urgent repairs with minimum downtime; investigate the root causes of failures and take independent and prompt corrective measures.
  • Ensure that consumers and production lines are supplied with uninterrupted, good-quality electrical and thermal energy; organise the regulation of loads on power equipment.
  • Define the list of critical spare parts (electrical, I&C, boiler house) and ensure that stock levels are maintained at an optimal level.
  • Prepare justified technical specifications (ToR) and proposals for the renewal and modernisation of electrical and power equipment, and exercise technical supervision over contractors’ work.
  • Ensure that subordinate personnel work in compliance with Occupational Health and Safety, Electrical Safety Rules, Fire Safety and Technical Operation Rules, and conduct collective safety briefings.
  • Ensure that the plant’s techno-electrical and single-line diagrams, equipment passports and maintenance logs are kept accurately and up to date.



Requirements

  • Higher education (Power Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Electrical Power Engineering or Heat Engineering);
  • Minimum 8-10 years in production/power engineering (at least 3 years in a managerial or lead specialist position);
  • Electrical Safety Authorisation Group V (or IV) for work on installations above 1000 V; Occupational Health & Safety and Fire Safety certificates;
  • 10/0.4 kV substations, I&C and automation, PPM system, steam boilers, compressors, Electrical Installation Operation Rules and Technical Operation Rules;
  • Azerbaijani (fluent), Russian or English (technical);
  • MS Office, AutoCAD, ERP (SAP/1C).
