Junior Cost Control and Planning Engineer

• Support cost control and planning teams in the preparation and updating of project budgets, BoQs, and cost estimates.
• Assist in collecting and compiling daily, weekly, and monthly progress data from sites and departments.
• Help prepare cash flow and cost performance reports under supervision.
• Participate in updating schedules and progress reports based on actual site data.
• Assist in monitoring material consumption, equipment utilization, and labor reports.
• Support comparison of actual costs versus budgeted values, identifying basic variances.
• Maintain and organize cost and planning documentation, records, and spreadsheets.
• Assist in preparing subcontractor and supplier cost comparisons and simple analyses.
• Participate in preparation of earned value and performance summaries as directed.
• Ensure data accuracy in reports and coordinate with the Technical Office for quantity updates.
• Follow up with relevant departments to collect missing data required for reports or analysis.
• Comply with internal procedures for cost control, planning, and reporting.

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS

Education:

Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or related discipline.

Specific areas of expertise:

Basic understanding of cost control, budgeting, and planning principles; numerical and analytical aptitude.

Work experience:

1–3 years of experience in cost control, planning, or construction project support roles.

Language and computer programs knowledge (Microsoft Office):

Fluent in Azerbaijani and English;

Good command of MS Excel; intermediate knowledge of MS Project, AutoCAD, or Primavera P6 is preferred.
