Key Responsibilities

Operations

  • Ensure that departmental activities are aligned with the corporate Human Resources strategy and that relevant hotel initiatives are effectively implemented.
  • Ensure the effective and smooth management of the Human Resources Department and strict compliance with the policies and procedures established in the departmental operations manual.
  • Ensure that employees are informed about internal rules, regulations, policies and procedures and that these are properly implemented.
  • Lead, coach and guide the Human Resources team in order to enhance their knowledge, skills and performance.
  • Conduct interviews and manage recruitment processes in cooperation with the relevant Department Heads.
  • Ensure the effective delivery of HR responsibilities, strengthen leadership capabilities among senior and middle management, and carry out continuous day-to-day activities aimed at improving productivity.
  • Apply organizational development principles effectively and recommend changes to the organizational structure in order to support future development.
  • Oversee workforce planning activities aimed at achieving the most effective staffing levels, productivity and service standards.
  • Ensure that senior management and key Department Heads manage recruitment requirements in a timely and effective manner.
  • Oversee the effective implementation of the Company's Human Resources policies, procedures and practices.
  • Oversee the employee performance appraisal system and succession planning process.
  • Be responsible for the administration of employee salaries and wages and oversee procedures related to accommodation arrangements for expatriate employees.
  • Drive and oversee talent identification and development processes to ensure that talented employees are utilized and developed to their full potential.
  • Ensure that training programs and development opportunities are delivered to high standards and in accordance with AHG's culture.
  • Assist with annual salary and wage surveys, business planning and workforce-related planning. Oversee the preparation and maintenance of supporting documentation for Human Resources departmental expenses.
  • Ensure and monitor employee medical examinations in accordance with applicable local health and occupational safety requirements.
  • Maintain communication with occupational health and safety authorities and labor law specialists and maintain comprehensive knowledge of local labor legislation.
  • Oversee passport, visa and immigration matters for expatriate employees.
  • Ensure that the Human Resources Department is appropriately represented at career fairs.
  • Oversee cross-training activities conducted in cooperation with other departments.


Employees

  • Assist in developing an effective workforce, with particular attention to employees' welfare, occupational safety and professional development. Encourage employees to maintain positive working relationships with colleagues and all other departments.
  • Ensure that all employees understand their responsibilities regarding punctuality, wearing the appropriate uniform and displaying their personal name badge. Maintain the highest standards of appearance and hygiene and ensure compliance with hotel and departmental grooming standards.
  • Ensure that all employees provide friendly, courteous and professional service at all times.
  • Support employee training and ensure that employees possess the necessary skills to perform their duties with maximum efficiency and productivity.
  • Supervise employees within the department and ensure that appropriate service standards and working methods are maintained in accordance with the hotel's and department's operational manuals.
  • Ensure that the departmental operating budget is strictly controlled, that all expenditure is monitored and that expenses are properly authorized.
  • Comply with local legislation, remain informed about legal matters relevant to the department and act accordingly.
  • Respond appropriately to changes within the department as required by the industry, company and hotel.
  • Remain flexible and, within the scope of assigned authority, undertake other relevant duties and responsibilities as instructed. This may include transferring temporarily to other departments or areas when required to meet business needs and guest service requirements.
  • Encourage employees to be creative and innovative and recognize and motivate them for their contribution to the success of the department and the hotel.
  • Work closely with the Training Manager and Departmental Trainers to plan and implement effective training programs for employees.

Tələblər

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources Management, Business Administration, or a related discipline.
  • Competent on local labor legislation, employment practices, immigration requirements and occupational health and safety obligations.
  • At least five years of progressive HR experience, including in a hospitality field.
  • Proficiency in HR information systems, applicant tracking systems and Microsoft Office applications.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills in English.
  • Strong interpersonal, influencing, negotiation and conflict-resolution skills.
