Job Summary
The Risk Manager is responsible for establishing and overseeing a comprehensive risk management framework for the agribusiness unit, covering the entire value chain from cultivation and production to processing, packaging, and distribution. The role requires a strategic and analytical professional with strong expertise in operational, financial, and compliance risk management. The Risk Manager ensures the protection of company assets, supports sustainable growth, and safeguards business continuity by proactively identifying, assessing, and mitigating risks across all functions.
Key Responsibilities:
Risk Strategy & Governance
- Develop, implement, and continuously improve the company’s risk management policies, procedures, and frameworks.
- Identify, assess, and prioritize key risks across operations, finance, supply chain, and compliance.
- Ensure alignment of the Business Unit’s risk management strategy with the Group’s corporate governance standards.
- Provide clear, data-driven risk assessments and recommendations to senior management and the Board.
Operational & Financial Risk Management
- Monitor risks related to agricultural production cycles, market volatility, pricing, and resource availability.
- Evaluate financial exposures, including credit, liquidity, and investment risks.
- Establish and oversee business continuity and crisis management plans.
- Drive efficiency and resilience by implementing effective control measures and process improvements.
Compliance & Internal Controls
- Ensure adherence to legal, environmental, sustainability, health, and safety regulations.
- Coordinate internal and external audits to strengthen compliance and operational discipline.
- Develop internal control systems to safeguard against fraud, loss, and operational disruptions.
- Report on compliance risks and corrective actions to executive leadership.
Stakeholder & External Relations
- Engage with regulators, auditors, insurers, and financial institutions on risk-related matters.
- Provide management and employees with guidance, training, and tools to foster a strong risk-aware culture.
- Maintain transparent and timely communication with shareholders and the holding company on critical risk issues.
