We are seeking a detail-oriented Sales/Purchase Engineer to join our team. This role requires a strong technical background and the ability to manage sales processes from initial tender monitoring through to procurement and delivery. The ideal candidate will have experience with online procurement platforms and a solid understanding of Incoterms.

  1. Tender Monitoring:
  • Monitor and evaluate various tender opportunities in which the company can participate, ensuring alignment with business goals.
  • Prepare and submit tender documents in a timely manner, maintaining compliance with specifications.
  1. Sales and Procurement Management:
  • Conduct initial sales processes, managing the transition from purchase at the manufacturer’s plant to delivery at the customer’s warehouse, adhering to contractual delivery terms.
  • Ensure all transactions comply with Incoterms 2010, providing clarity on responsibilities for both buyers and sellers.
  1. Supplier and Customer Liaison:
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with suppliers and customers, facilitating effective communication throughout the sales and procurement process.
  • Address any issues that arise during the procurement and delivery stages to ensure customer satisfaction.
  1. Utilization of Online Platforms:
  • Effectively use online procurement platforms, such as Ariba, to manage purchasing processes and vendor relationships.
  • Stay updated on the latest tools and technologies to enhance procurement efficiency.
  1. Data Management and Reporting:
  • Maintain accurate records of sales and purchase transactions, preparing regular reports for management review.
  • Analyze market trends and supplier performance to inform procurement decisions.
  1. Compliance and Quality Assurance:
  • Ensure all procurement activities comply with internal policies and industry regulations.
  • Conduct quality assessments of products to ensure they meet company standards and specifications.

Basic Requirements:

  • 3+ years of experience in sales and purchasing, preferably in an engineering or technical environment.
  • Proven ability to monitor and respond to tenders effectively.
  • Strong understanding of Incoterms 2010 and their application in sales and procurement.
  • Experience working with online procurement platforms, such as Ariba.
  • Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
