Telecommunication & Connectivity Specialist

Our core expertise lies in the digital transformation of utility grids. As Esyasoft CIS expands its presence in Azerbaijan, we are seeking a Telecommunications & Connectivity Specialist who will ensure end-to-end connectivity readiness, reliability, and performance across NB-IoT, LoRaWAN, and telecom infrastructure throughout the Smart Grid implementation.

Responsiblities:

• Support communications and gateway operations, including coverage checks, device configuration, testing, and rollout readiness
• Coordinate with MNOs, AzInTelecom, OEMs, field contractors, the Control Room, internal teams, and Azerigaz on provisioning, connectivity, outages, and technical issues
• Manage day-to-day SIM/eSIM activities, including allocation, activation, replacement, suspension, and deactivation. Maintain accurate SIM-to-device mapping, IMEI records, and inventory
• Support private APN, IP addressing, VPN connectivity, routing, firewall, and whitelisting activities in line with network-security requirements
• Monitor network and connectivity performance, including signal strength, latency, packet loss, communication success rate, device availability, and gateway uptime
• Monitor SLA performance and non-communicating (NC) device ageing. Escalate recurring or critical issues to the relevant teams and service providers
• Perform initial troubleshooting of connectivity, SIM, registration, coverage, gateway, and backend communication issues. Support root-cause analysis and corrective actions
• Monitor device-to-HES/backend communication and assist in identifying network-, device-, gateway-, and integration-related issues
• Maintain connectivity, SIM, gateway, VPN, billing, incident, and SLA reports and dashboards, highlighting key trends and issues
• Support technical and operational improvements throughout the implementation and O&M period

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Telecommunications, Electronics, Computer Science, IT, or a related engineering field
• 2+ years of experience in telecom operations, technical support, connectivity services, IoT, or smart-metering projects
• Basic understanding of cellular communications, SIM/eSIM management, APN, VPN, IP addressing, and network-monitoring tools
• Experience coordinating with mobile network operators, ISPs, vendors, or technical service providers is preferred
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, coordination, and communication skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities
• Fluent in Azerbaijani and English, both written and spoken. Russian proficiency is an advantage
