Head of IT Infrastcture and Technical Support Unit

Currently, “FINCA Azerbaijan” Non-Bank Credit Organization is looking for a Head of IT Infrastructure and Technical Support Unit.

Essential duties:

• Assist in defining IT strategy aligned with business strategy, vision, and goals.
• Contribute to the management of the IT budget and ensure cost effectiveness of IT operations.
• Ensure IT standards and practices are developed and enhanced according to the organization needs.
• Ensure documentation is created and maintained for all IT Infrastructure systems.
• Participate in deployment of security frameworks and solutions.
• Support efficient incident/service request and change management processes are defined and implemented according to ITIL framework and industry best practices.
• Assist in managing acquisition, development, implementation and operation of all technology infrastructure which includes data center, compute, network, storage, backups, telephony, business applications, integrations, databases, endpoints, software related to those systems and services.
• Monitor performance of information technology systems and make recommendations for improving the IT infrastructure, operations.
• Assist in the provision of the preventive and corrective maintenance services
• Ensure the Confidentiality, Integrity, and availability of information assets (networks, servers, databases, applications, storage, and backup systems).
• Contribute to business continuity and disaster recovery processes.
• Ensure efficient end user support is provided by IT department through effective incident/service request management processes according to ITIL framework and industry best practices.
• Ensure SLA-s are established for all IT services and service levels are effectively tracked and reported.
• Manage communication with technology vendors and service.
• Assist in procurement activities of all hardware, software, and IT services.
• Facilitate tenders as required, help to negotiate with suppliers to obtain the best possible price and quality for all purchases. Ensure that all fixed asset purchases are documented according to the corporate procurement policy.
• Research, evaluate and recommend new technologies and products to support business goals.
• Drive continued collaboration between IT Infrastructure, Software Development, and Helpdesk teams to better support business needs.
• Coordinate and liaison with all business stakeholders, build and sustain effective relationships between Information technology and business units.
• Assist in recruiting, training, and coaching IT staff.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, applied math, or other relevant degree.
• Minimum 6 years of experience in IT field, with 2 years in a senior or supervisory role.
• Proven experience in management of IT teams.
• Experience in implementation of complex business applications such as CBS and/or ERP systems is considered as advantage.
• Professional certifications and/or trainings in ITIL, COBIT, CRISC, CGEIT, PMP are considered an advantage.
• Certifications and/or trainings in network, system, database administration, virtualization technologies, cloud solutions, software development/architecture are considered as advantage.
• Fluency in Azerbaijani, full working proficiency in English.
