Site Supervisor

JOB ACCOUNTABILITY:

• Supervise and coordinate daily site operations for civil structural works, including foundation excavation, shuttering/formwork, rebar placement, post-tensioning, and concrete pouring.
• Manage and direct sub-contractors, site foremen, and trade crews (carpenters, steel fixers, concrete workers) to ensure work progresses according to the baseline schedule and quality standards.
• Inspect formwork integrity, rebar positioning, concrete cover, and pour readiness prior to consultant/QA-QC inspection sign-offs.
• Monitor concrete casting operations, vibrator application, curing procedures, and concrete testing protocols (slump test, cube sampling) on site.
• Ensure strict adherence to approved structural shop drawings, bar bending schedules (BBS), and project execution specifications.
• Identify site discrepancies or structural clashes early, reporting them promptly to the Site Engineer and implementing approved corrective actions.
• Enforce site safety rules (HSE standards), ensuring all working-at-height, rigging, and heavy equipment operation protocols are strictly followed during civil works.

Education:

• Bachelor’s degree or Diploma in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or relevant technical field.

Specific areas of expertise:

• Reinforced concrete structure execution, formwork systems (Doka, Peri, conventional), rebar installation inspection, concrete batching & pouring techniques, and site workforce leadership.

Work experience:

• Minimum 4 years of hands-on experience as a Site Supervisor / Civil Supervisor focused specifically on structural concrete and core civil works within large-scale commercial, residential, or mixed-use construction projects.

Language and computer programs knowledge:

• Basic to intermediate knowledge of AutoCAD (for drawing interpretation) and MS Office (Excel/Word for reporting).
• Strong command of Azerbaijani; working knowledge of English or Russian is an advantage.

SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS:

• In-depth practical knowledge of concrete technology, formwork erection, and rebar reinforcement details.
• Strong leadership skills to effectively manage large site crews (ekip başı / sub-contractors) and maintain daily productivity targets.
• High physical stamina and readiness to work full-time on active construction sites under demanding weather conditions.
• Excellent problem-solving capabilities and swift crisis management on site.
