Description
- Take full ownership of the month-end and year-end closing processes within the SAP FI/CO modules, ensuring all financial transactions are properly recorded, reconciled, and reported in a timely manner;
- Strictly adhere to tight internal closing deadlines, ensuring the accurate completion of all closing tasks within the required timeframes;
- Coordinate proactively with other departments to ensure all data impacting the financial close is captured and processed on time;
- Assist to coordinate with Financial Control and Reporting for group reporting packs;
- Oversee preparation and submission of all statutory tax filings;
- Ensure compliance with local tax laws;
- Liaise with tax authorities during audits and inspections - Maintain tax registers and reconciliation of tax accounts in SAP;
- Full operational control over accounting modules in SAP (especially FI, CO, MM);
- Participate in SAP system upgrades, localization projects, or process optimizations;
- Ensure documentation and control of all financial transactions in compliance with internal policies and audit requirements;
Responsibilities
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics or related field (Master's degree is preferred)
- Language: Fluent Russian and Azerbaijani, English is a plus;
- Experience: 3–5+ years in a senior accounting role, preferably in FMCG;
- Software: Strong hands-on SAP ERP (especially FI/CO; MM knowledge is a plus);
- Analytical thinking.
